Our story

It started with a sewing machine and a box of shoe polish.

On June 7, 1965, Roy Smith Rushing opened his doors with little more than a rickety sewing machine, shine brushes, thread and a willingness to work. One stitch at a time, it grew into the biggest boot selection for miles around. We promise never to forget where we came from.
