These boots have been in our store for quite a while.  There is a good deal of age-related degradation going on in the shaft.  Laredo often uses synthetic material for the shaft.  After many years these shafts are subject to peeling and loss of pigment.  Many of the worse areas are pictured, but the entire shaft is going to do it when they're worn.  You can see from the picture of the sole that they are indeed unworn, and the genuine python vamps will not peel like the shaft will.  Nevertheless, these are being offered at a steep discount.  It might not be a good idea to wear these with light colored pants or around light colored carpeting for a while due to the potential of pigment rubbing off onto these surfaces.
